what are your hours of operation?

what are your hourly rates?
Our hourly rates are $80/hour (Design / Coding / Copywriting)

what is your fee schedule?

  • If your project is over $250, we require a non refundable 50% deposit before commencement of any work. Balance is to be paid upon project completion or within 45 days whichever comes first.
  • If your project is less than $250, we require full payment before we commence any work.
  • Balance must be paid in full before handover of all final artwork / web live. Failure to pay the balance will incur interest charges of 2% per month.

what methods of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards and Paypal.

how do I get started?
Our best advice for you is to do your research. The more you can tell us about how you envision your brand, the better it will help us out in designing what you want. Once you have purchased a service with us, you will download our design questionnaire. Filling this out will let us know exactly what you would like to see in your project.

how long does it take to complete a project?
Note that web live dates/project completion dates are dependent on our current production schedule. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request and we will notify you if there is a delay in production. Under normal circumstances, you can expect:

- First Web Proof: within 7 -10 business days from date of signed contract
- Completed Website: 14 business days from approval of proof
- Print Projects: Proof within 5-10 business days depending on scope of project

what is stock photography?
We believe that images can make or break your overall design. We encourage our clients to use royalty free stock photography at www.istockphoto.com or www.fotolia.com. Depending on whether or not your design project is web or print, they are as little as $2.00 each. You can register for free with the stock photography sites, purchase your desired images and send them to us. Make sure that you download the correct resolution. Not to worry though, all of this will be discussed through our design phase.

who owns the copyright?
Kayzoe Designs retains copyright of all design work until final payment is made after which the copyright will then belong to the client. If contract is terminated before work is completed, all design work will remain copyright of Kayzoe Designs. Kayzoe Designs and its subcontractors retain the right to display graphics and other design elements as samples of their work in their respective portfolios.

design credit
A small logo image and/or link to Kayzoe Designs will appear at the bottom of each webpage design. The Client agrees to display this image and link for as long as the Website, designed by Q graphique, is publicly displayed on the internet, regardless of where the site is hosted or maintained.

the design process

1/ purchase your desired package
Send us an email of which package/service you would like. If it isn’t listed, contact us for a quote. A 50% deposit is due at this time (if you project is under $250, full balance is due). You must agree to our Terms of Service before commencement of any work. The balance is due before we send you the final files / upload your site live.

2 / online project manager
If you have purchased a website requiring CMS, once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with a link, username and password to login to our online Project Manager. This is where all the conversations, file uploads etc. will take place regarding your entire project from beginning to end.

3/ questionnaire
You will be required to fill out our Questionnaire. This will give us a better understanding of your design style and what types of web functionality you would like . Please provide as much information as you can.

4/ photos | images |text copy
We ask that you supply us with your logo, photos / images and text copy that you may have. See our comment above on Stock Photography regarding www.istockphoto.com. We will require all your images and copy before we start the design of your project.

5/ design stage + project scope
We strongly encourage input from the Client during the initial design process by filling out the Questionnaire on our website to ensure that we grasp an idea of the brand that you are going for. Client is also encouraged to provide any sketches, drawings, other samples to aid in the design process.

PRINT WORK
Once deposit has been received and depending on the scope of the project, we will supply a proof of the print project based from the Questionnaire that the client has filled in. The client is allowed 3 rounds of revisions for changes/modifications. If changes/modifications exceed 3 passes, our hourly rate of $80 will be applied. Once the print work has been finalized, remaining balance is due before the client is supplied all final artwork. You will receive a project sign off form stating that the project is now closed.

LOGO DESIGN
Once deposit has been received, we will supply the client 3 logo concepts based from the Questionnaire that the client has filled in. Client is allowed 3 rounds of revisions for changes/modifications. We encourage the client to mix and match any of the designs and tweak colours. If changes/modifications exceed 3 passes, our hourly rate of $50 will be applied. Once the logo has been finalized, remaining balance is due before the client is supplied all final artwork. You will receive a project sign off form stating that the project is now closed.

WEBSITE DESIGN

STAGE 1: WEBSITE DESIGN
Once deposit has been received, we will supply the client with a web proof based from the Questionnaire that the client has filled in. Client is allowed 3 rounds of revisions for changes/modifications. If changes/modifications exceed 3 revisions, an hourly rate of $80 will be applied. Once web proof has been finalized, it will be prepared for coding. Note that once the web proof has been coded, going back to stage 1 will incur fees of $80 – $100 /hour.

STAGE 2: WEBSITE CODING
Your website will be coded. Once completed, final balance is due before your site goes live. Note that once the web proof has been coded, going back to stage 1 will incur fees of $80 – $100 /hour.

If training is required, a mutually convenient time will be arranged to go through our system either via phone or live chat at $80/hour. For selected packages, we provide 1 hour of training to learn our Zebra Builder CMS application.

what is a Content Management System (CMS)?
It is an application where we build your website on, enabling you to maintain it yourself through a web interface without the knowledge of HTML. It is both PC and Mac compatible, however we advise to use Firefox or IE Browsers.

how do I manage my web site?
We will train you on the use of our Zebra Builder Content Management System. It is an application which allows you (our client) to manage your own website/shopping cart after we have built it without having to know any HTML.
